The PDA system:-

  • The advent of a digital interface application brings a major step forward in the process of completing statutory inspections checks. It ensures every check is of the highest standard, always fully completed with any non-serviceable or advisory actions dealt with before the inspection is signed off as quality controlled, by a manager or supervisor.
Truckfile. A secure, easy-to-use system for managing and storing all your truck and asset documentation.
  • Easy of use with large buttons - allowing technicians to use the device as a touch screen
  • Secure login for each technician - but allowing only HGV licence holders to login to the road test.
  • Inspections jobs can be assigned by a Manager to a technician - or the technician can self assign a job and the system is updated "real time" via a wireless network
  • Inspections cannot be started without the Tacho date or odometer reading
  • Both sections have to be signed by a technician - to confirm they have completed the inspection
  • Tyre faults are recognised by colour coding and report
  • Pre loaded inspections checks by TM number - ensuring all regulatory checks are fully completed
  • The ability to place the regulatory TM checks into groups - for each area of the vehicle or asset so the technician can pick the order of the check to suit the circumstances
  • The inspection is divided into the TM numbers and the Road/brake test - allowing the same or different technicians to complete each section
  • The inspection check has to be signed off by the technician on the device before it can be completed
  • The availability to add customer defined checks to the inspection check - means any check can be added for individual operators
  • Using a logical order and cycling through all the statuary checks - means that all TM numbers are always completed
  • The system has touch buttons for non serviceable, non-applicable, serviceable and advisory outcomes - The technician confirms by one of these buttons the outcome of each TM check as it cycles through the checks.
  • The system is designed to have minimum touch screen entry with the use of built in fault codes - and outcomes for non-serviceable or advisory results
  • If a fault or advisory result is not covered by the standard codes the technician can enter free text to give a comprehensive description
  • If a fault is rectified by a technician during the inspection this is recorded into the system
  • If a fault is changed by the technician during the inspection as it was a mistake it is recorded as such
  • Tyre depth, pressure and tyre condicions are recorded by drop down entry for each tyre
